New Year, Best You!
We are well into the New Year and have all been inundated with the whole ‘NEW YEAR, NEW YOU’ movement. Has it been helpful? For some of us it has been while for others it has been hindering and limiting.
Am I not good enough? Do I have to change EVERYTHING about who I am?!?
This question may arise in response to the ‘New Year, New You’ messages. In each moment we aim to show up as our best self. Moment to moment that looks very different. What if we let go of the idea of ‘New Year, New You’ and shift towards ‘New Year, Best You’ instead? Can we set a plan into action that will help us to expand into our best self and reflect our best life?
We believe this is not only possible but also achievable with these simple steps…

What are the steps to creating a plan to achieve success & balance?

Step 1:
Sit down and reflect on what you want to HAVE, DO, CREATE and EXPERIENCE this year…
Break it down into categories –
- This year in my mind (thought life) I want to….
- This year in my heart (emotions) I want to….
- This year in my body (physical health & tangible things around you) I want to….
- This year in my soul/spirit (true self, connection to higher power, community & world)) I want to….
- This year in my career & finances I want to….
- This year in my family & relationships I want to….
- This year in my health & wellness I want to….
- This year in my self-development & spirituality I want to….
Step 2:
Now that you have completed the lists above and have had time to reflect on what you want to MOVE TOWARDS, ask yourself…
What do I need to specifically DO (actions to take) to move towards achieving what I want to have, do, create and experience?
Ask yourself that question as you look at each list you had created for each category.
Step 3:
Once you have completed the list of things to do, now create a list of things to ‘let go of’ or to do less of that will help you to move towards having, doing, creating & experiencing what you want in each of those areas of self and areas of life.
Ask yourself…
What do I need to let go of in order to move towards what I want?
What do I need to do less of in order to create what I want?
Follow those simple steps and this will become a rich and balanced game plan to living your best life and being your best self this year.
